A Reverie of Matter

  1. The idea, in this day in age, that a TB hospital was necessary is absurd, isn't it?

  2. It's a little scary, to think that TB was rife in Melbourne. But then I think of George Orwell and Katherine Mansfield, both of whom lost their lives to TB when antibiotic treatment was so close. And then I think of the lives still being lost to TB in the developing world, when we already have the treatment for it...

    Yes, your Odette is a fantastic find. Makes me feel like making my own paperdolls for my kids. I loved them as a kid.
